The Problem-
The app design was already underway when I joined the project. You can see below the previous design(s). The problem was that the thinking behind these designs was never particularly geared towards senior citizens. The end result was a busy, confusing app, which our target audience has difficulty following.

The Redesign Effort
My goal was to simplify the app and make it usable for our senior citizens. After conducting extensive usability study, the unanimous input (which was in line with my thinking) was that our users wanted the app to tell them what to do and guide them.
